Overhead Door For Gas Tight Applications

  • Sealing gaskets allow for the efficient containment of gasses necessary for the ripening of produce
  • Manual or power operation - available in 2" and 3" thickness

Bananna Room Door

  • Provides gas-tight sealing and total resistance to the corrosive nature of the humid environments created within the rooms
  • Long noted for our expertise with this door, they are available in two standard size widths, 4´6" and 9´ (single or double leaf) or in custom built sizes
  • Multi-point latch for seal tight closings included

Controlled Atmosphere Door

  • Optional features include eccentric wheel clamps for vertical lift doors, perimeter lug clamps for horizontal sliders, special trolleys, gasketed floor angle, operable portholes and wicket doors

Storage

Each cold storage door shall be securely crated so as to protect the door from damage during shipment and handling. Door identification number shall be clearly marked on the outside of each crate.

Installation

Doors shall be mounted in full accord with the detailed instruction of the door manufacturer and contract documents. When mounting the door and track framing, the mounting surfaces shall be set true and level without distortion and shall be shimmed and caulked to assure tightness and true fitting, and shall be securely lagged. After the doors are hung, they shall be checked for mechanical and electrical operation, and tight and uniform gasket sealing. Installation of pull switches, power connections to power operated doors and gasket heaters are the responsibility of the electrical contractor.

Maintenance

Clean all doors of excess sealant, grease, stain, fingerprints and construction dust prior to final inspection to the satisfaction of the architect/owner. Adjust all doors to smooth, proper operating condition, including proper sealing prior to turnover of facility to owner.
